Connor Taras
Connor Taras comes from the small town of Waverley in Nova Scotia. He is the oldest of a brother and sister from who he gets his inspiration from to push himself to excel. From an early age he has participated in sports from hockey to track and field.

Gavin Godfrey
Gavin lives in Sydney and is quite a versatile athlete paddling C1, surfski, dragon boat, outrigger and OC1. What makes him even more special as an athlete is his dual citizenship allowing him to race for both Australia and Canada.

Jo Brigden-Jones
Jo was born in Mona Vale Hospital on 19th April 1988, and has lived on Sydney's Northern Beaches her whole life. She participated in many different sports during her time at school but never trained more than once a week for them.

Lena Stöcklin
At the age of 17 I moved to Leipzig due to the perfect conditions there for paddling. I finished sports school and directly after decided to study sports management. I started training slalom in kayak in about 2006 and from this point was so passionate about it.

Maria Halavrezos
Maria Halavrezos is a sprint canoeist hailing from Canada’s East Coast. She currently lives in Montreal where she balances her training with choir rehearsals, volunteering and earning a degree in Cultural Studies and Management from McGill University.

Taylor Potts
Training and studying in Canada’s capital, Taylor is a full-time Communications student and sprint canoe enthusiast. As an athlete of a non-Olympic discipline herself, Taylor is an advocate for gender equity in sports.
