Claire O’Hara preparing for the 2015 ICF Ottawa World Championships Freestyle

In 8 months time the ICF World Championships will be taking place on 'Garb' wave on the Ottawa river in Canada. The Ottawa River is renowned amongst freestyle kayakers as one of the best training venues and is home to some of the best surf waves in the world. In the summers there's warm water, sunshine and a mixture of small and smooth and fast technical waves and in the spring its home to some of the biggest most challenging waves ever surfed.

Third and final World Cup Freestyle kicks off in Sort, Spain

10 years after the 2004 European Championships, Sort will be the closing venue for the 2014 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Cup, after the two first stages organised in Millau (France, 25-29/06) and Salt (Spain, 01-06/07). The three events are independent, but each awards points for a final absolute ranking.

Canada to host 2015 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships

The best freestyle paddlers in the World will be bringing their most impressive tricks, flips and spins to Canada next year. The International Canoe Federation has awarded the 2015 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships to CanoeKayak Canada to be hosted by Wilderness Tours on the Ottawa River.
