Gavin Godfrey

Gavin lives in Sydney and is quite a versatile athlete paddling C1, surfski, dragon boat, outrigger and OC1. What makes him even more special as an athlete is his dual citizenship allowing him to race for both Australia and Canada, which he did at the World Championships Dragon Boat Racing.

In his daily life Gavin is also an electrical engineer and a trainer in dragon boat coaching. He competed and coached at six World Dragon Boat Championships.

Gavin about the Sportscene website for paddle sports: "I like that the Sportscene holds interesting content across a number of codes. I feel that the various paddling codes have a lot in common and people are often interested to see and can appreciate different types of paddling."
