Every year hundreds of athletes descend onto the small ski town of VAIL, Colorado to compete in the TEVA Mountain Games. This massive event is a celebration of mountains, athletes, music and art.
RapidBlocs, a division of S2o Design and Engineering, has signed Dane Jackson to an exclusive partnership as both seek to influence the future of whitewater kayaking.
Now 18 years old and having paddled for 8 years, Spanish freestyle kayaker and vice junior World Champion, Joaquim (aka Quim) Fontane is paddling in the seniors class, competing against athletes of any age, and also competing against idols he has looked up to for years.
The 2011 Freestyle kayaking season has come to an end and what a season it has been. 2011 will be remembered as the most successful year (so far) in British Freestyle history.
This year my whole life has made a HUGE change and it was all most definitely for the better! I faced many amazing opportunities, meet numerous incredible people and went to handfuls of unbelievable places!
With two gold medals in the bag at the ICF World Championships, squirt boat and freestyle kayaker Clair O’Hara is already looking towards next year and the 2012 World Cup.
James Bebbington - aka Pringle - and Katya Kulkova got married! A beautiful couple and both whitewater and freestyle athletes. James is also the reigning World Champion Freestyle. James: "Already this year was the best of my life, but it got to a whole new level a few weeks ago."
Bryson City, North Carolina is home to the Nantahala River, one of the most popular whitewater rivers in the United States. The riverbed has recently been modified in preparation for the 2013 World Championships in freestyle kayaking.
The Nantahala Gorge Organizing Committee (“NGOC”) will celebrate the grand opening of the 2013 Wave on Friday, December 16 with a ceremony, reception and paddling exhibition starting at 12pm.
This years winners of the league series were crowned British Champions and were given automatic entry on the team. Everyone else competed for one less place per category on the team at HPP in Nottingham.
2011 was an exhilarating year for me! I started out with a bang at my favorite creek, Brush Creek, where I was first in the Jr. Women’s creek race and Jr. Slalom, and ended with one of my favorite American Whitewater fundraisers, the Feather River Festival.
