The Payette River Games are back and they are going to be even bigger and better than last year. Launched in 2013, the Payette River Games are one of the most talked about events on the world kayaking circuit. Set at the Kelly’s Whitewater Park, in the small town of Cascade deep in the heart of Idaho, the PRG's will see hundreds of competitors come together to take part in 3 days of non-stop action sports.
2014 is already lining up to be another exciting year of freestyle action with major events set to be held on the best features across the World. Starting off with the Nile River Festival in Africa the season will continue with the National Student Rodeo in the UK in March, followed by a full calendar of European and USA competitions as well as other events, across the globe.
Freestyle in South Africa is rather small but over the last 3-4 years has started growing again nicely and we are seeing more and more paddlers at the various events.

For the first time since the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, GA, world championship kayaking returns to the United States. The 2013 International Canoe Federation Freestyle World Championships will take place September 2-8 on the Nantahala River near Bryson City, NC.
The 2-jam freestyle and downriver event on the Lee Valley Legacy course (Olympic's little sister) eventually took place on 30th June following an hour and a half pump hold-up.

Last year I saw this photo of Stephen Wright and knew that this was a feature I would really like to visit. Then in September at the World Cups I was told about the 2013 Kelly's white water park event, a big white water festival that would be hosted at the end of the US freestyle tour.
