Record K3 entry for 2014 Hansa Fish

The popular K3 race at the Hansa Fish River Canoe Marathon has been given an added incentive in 2014 as it will also double up as the SA K3 River Marathon Championships and with this title on the line, the interest has led to the largest K3 field ever with just over 100 boats already confirmed for the race that starts at Grassridge Dam on Friday.

South Africa aims for gold at the Worlds Marathon in Oklahoma City

South Africa is aiming for the number one spot in the world of men's kayak marathon racing at the ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships in Oklahoma City, which run from 23 to 28 September. "I really think finishing as the top kayak team is a very realistic and attainable goal," Team Manager Steve Jordaan said this week.

Birkett & Adie steal the show at the 2014 Berg River Canoe Marathon

In what was one of the most exciting men’s races at the Berg River Canoe Marathon in a number of years, novice Andy Birkett managed to hold off Western Cape ace Graeme Solomon to claim his maiden Berg title with Abby Adie storming to a convincing win in the ladies race as she crossed the line in Velddrif on Saturday.
