Interview with ICF Chair Canoe Sprint Frank Garner

Frank Garner has attended three Olympic Games as Canada’s National Coach and three as an International Canoe Official. In 2012, Frank will go to the Olympics for the seventh time. He will be the Chief Official for the Flatwater Sprint events to be held in Eton, England in August.

I am heading down on February 5th and staying until the last week in April, when we will then drive from Melbourne, FL to Gainesville, GA for our final preparation for Canadian Olympic Team Trials.

Interview with 200 meter World Champion Lisa Carrington

Lisa Carrington from New Zealand became World Champion last year in Szeged, Hungary in the K1 200 metre event. Lisa hails from Auckland on the North shore, which is only 5 minutes from where she trains most of the year, although she also spends a few months in Europe each year.

USA Today published its medal tracker for London. Its tracker projects the winners in each medal event for the 2012 London Olympics, based on an algorithm that monitors athletes’ performances leading up to the Games. The table is update once a month.
