Fantastic semi-finals in the U21 category this morning in Poznan, Poland. Both New-Zealand teams present in semi-finals were prevented from reaching the Finals by France. Great Britain and Germany will try to stop them later in the day.
In 2010, following the World Championships held in Milan (Italy), the International Canoe Federation decided to change the rules of Canoe Polo to add a 60 second shot clock rule.
Under an autumnal chilly weather that did not frighten loud supporters, Friday begins to see the semi-finals line-ups being decided in particular for both U21 categories, who have their finals and medal ceremonies on Saturday, while men and women categories are promising great denouements as expected.
The second day of World Championships qualifications took place Thursday in the city of Poznan, that one could call the 2012 capital of canoeing for having hosted four major canoeing events this year.

The 10th edition of the ICF Canoe Polo World Championships will take place from 5 – 9 September in Poznan, Poland. Sixty-three competing teams will represent 25 countries.

Today the women have had plenty of action on Court 1. NZ Women came out fighting after a loss to the Australian women last night and beat the Australian Women’s B team 16-0.
Today was the first day of competition in the Oceania Canoe Polo Championships at the Hokowhitu Lagoon in Palmerston North. It has been a day of fierce competition between the New Zealand and Australian teams in all categories.
