In 2003, on the premises of the Kolna Sport and Recreation Centre in Krakow, one of the most modern wildwater courses in Europe was constructed.

Lake Bagsvaerd

Lake Bagsvaerd will become the venue for the 2012 World Cup Marathon and the 2013 World Championships.

Lake Bohinj

Two new canoe slalom courses are being built for the Games: a 300m competition course and a 160m intermediate/training course. A new 10,000sq m lake is also being constructed. This will feed a system of pumps that will provide the 300m course with 15 cubic metres of water per second.

The canoe slalom venue is located on southeast outskirt of Liptovsky Mikulas on the left bank of river Váh. It was opened in 1978 and built by Mr. Ondrej Cibák.
