Lake Bagsvaerd

The Regatta Course of the Marathon World Cup will take place on Lake Bagsvaerd. The Start is held next to the tower, and the first 1930 meters are in a straight line to the first turning-point. The start line, finish line and portage will be at the regatta course, and according to the ICF regulations the course is a lap course with a short last lap of 1000 m, details to be confirmed by the ICF Canoe Marathon Committee.

The depth of the course will be at least 2.0 meters everywhere. A 120 meter portage is placed just after the finish line, and is leading across a grass bank. The portage area is clearly marked by fences and has red and yellow marks at the disembarkation and embarkation places. Disembarkation and embarkation takes place at pontoons. The portage will allow at least five K2 simultaneously.
