Both Alexander Slafkovsky (SVK), 30, and Jessica Fox (AUS), 19, won both their respective semi-finals and went on to win their finals. Claudia Baer (GER) was actually the fastest K1W and similarly Peter & Pavol Hochschorner (SVK) were the fastest C2 crew with their 112.53 second clear semi-final run.
Overall individual category percentages
| K1M | Paul Boeckelmann | GER | 97.59 | 100% |
| C1M | Alexander Slafkovsky | SVK | 102.46 | 105% |
| C1W | Jessica Fox | AUS | 132.69 | 136% |

All the run times on the heat and semi/final 22 gate courses were longer than in Cardiff. Alexander Slafkovsky was close to Paul Boeckelmann’s K1M winning time. The margin with all other classes was greater than on the short and tighter Cardiff course. The percentages are a little skewed by the fact that the semi-final runs in K1W and C2 were actually faster than the winning times in the final.
