After two days of Masters racing, the first day (Friday) of the ICF Marathon World Championship was made a success for marathon paddling by the Italian organizers and a record number of participants from 38 nations.

Hank McGregor won his sixth South African Marathon Championship last weekend by winning two golds in the K1 and the K2 competitions. In the women’s races, Alexa Cole impressively achieved the same result in both disciplines.
