July sees the return of the annual river festival on the Noguera Pallaresa, yet this year is particularly special for Catalans and organisers alike; it's the event's 50th anniversary!
Considered by many as one of the prime spots in the world to paddle whitewater whether expert or beginner, the river is 140km long, and where dammed at several points it only has around 55 kilometres that you can run in one go from Lake La Torrassa until Lake La Pobla de Segur.
The Pyrenees is a well-known kayaking destination for the all round kayaker. The Noguera Pallaresa offers some great white water III sections, a slalom course and a play feature that was base for the the 2001 World Championships, the 2006 European Championships and the 2013 Sort Open International. All freestyle.
We are looking forward to seeing you in the city of Sort on the natural channel for the great white water festival. Registration for The Sort Open Freestyle International is open and will close on July 20th.
