Thirty of the world’s best kayakers competed in a "Boulder Dash" race on Thursday, December 6, in stage two of the 2012 Whitewater Grand Prix on the Rio Puesco in Central Chile. Eric Deguil (FRA) took first place among the men and Nouria Newman (FRA) placed first among the women.

Earlier this week the 2012 Whitewater Grand Prix kicked off in spectacular fashion with a whitewater enduro race on the Rio Gol Gol in Chile. Over thirty of the world’s best whitewater kayakers competed in the first stage of this 5-stage, 14-day event.
The 2012 Whitewater Grand Prix world kayaking championship will take place December 1-14 on the remote rivers of Chile. Thirty of the world’s best extreme kayakers, including Olympic athletes and world-record holders, will compete in the 14-day event.
