Peter Kauzer
28-year old whitewater kayaker Peter Kauzer completely justified his nickname Rocket from Hrastnik this season. He became World Champion, won the overall World Cup title and won the European Championships title in team race. At the World Championships in Bratislava other competitors watched him helplessly in the back, although he did not paddle thoughtlessly this time, but won with an elegant waltz danced on the Danube. In Čunovo, which he says is his home course, because he prefers to compete there rather than in Tacen, he won another world title in his career - the second one after 2009. The gold medal has already ensured him a place at Olympic Games in London.
An Olympic medal is the only thing missing in his extensive collection. He explains that he is interested only in the title of Olympic champion. In all the great competitions in his career, Olympic Games, World and European Championships, he has already been burned once, which means he already used all the bonuses of misfortune.
