jessica fox jess canoe kajak slalom australia pyrenees cup 2013 pau foix la seu urgell icf sportscene france k1 c1 Tom Collings | Australian Canoeing - 18 year old Jessica Fox has demonstrated her determination to prove doubters that her silver medal London accolade was no fluke, with a dominant display of whitewater paddling at the 2013 Copa Pyrenees Cup over the past week and a half.

The Penrith dynamo dominated, winning five gold medals and a silver across the three legged competition.

Racing began in La Seu d’Urgell, Spain just over a week ago, before the talented field of paddlers competed in Foix, France mid-week, with competition concluding down the natural flowing waters in Pau, France on Sunday.

Fox completed a clean sweep of victories in the womens C1 category, whilst in her Olympic discipline, the K1, Fox produced victories in Foix and Pau, after Spanish paddler Meritxell Rodriguez edged Fox by 0.08 seconds to win the first event in La Seu d’Urgell.

The results capped off the perfect start to Fox’s European season, with the NSWIS paddler now set to return home to Australia, before heading back overseas for the ICF World Cups, which begin in Cardiff, Wales on 21-23 June.
