Eurolympics give exposure to Taiwanese canoe slalom trio
Video: Nouria Newman | Article: Nick Harding - Nouria, in between competing, finds time to interview 3 Taiwanese guest paddlers at the Eurolympics in Brittany.
Jason, Ming and Wen (their adopted names) have been training with Carole Bouzidi (FRA), last year's K1 European Champion, to improve their paddling and gain experience of elite-level international competition in wake of the Asian Championships.
As enthusiastic and popular representatives of officially-known Chinese Taipei, the three have learnt leaps and bounds from their participation.
Their results were:
In C1 Men Huai-Chun Chiuhuaichun (Wen) finished 30th and Yun-Chuan Chang (Jason) finished in 32nd with 83 points. Hung-Ming Pan (Ming) was in 51st place overall in K1M and he, with partner Jason, ended positively in 8th out of 10 in C2 Men.
