Australian supremacy at the 2013 Worlds SUP and Paddleboard
Nick Harding | Sportscene - Impressive Australia takes overall team standings for the second year in a row and a stunning 8 out of 11 wins across all SUP racing, SUP surfing and paddleboard categories.
After a great week of beachfront competition at Miraflores, Peru with jacuzzi-warm waters, mysterious sudden-arriving seafog, intermittent sunshine, a hazardous rock groyne and waves averaging 4-5ft daily; the final results are in.
Story of the week has to go to Denmark's 19 year old Casper Stainfath who took Gold in the SUP Men's Technical event earlier this morning. A few days before getting on the plane Peru-bound, he and his two teammates were unrecognised as an official competing nation by the ISA. Scrambling last-minute federational approval it was from nothing to everything!
SPORTSCENE hopes you have had a great week watching the live feed and results, sneakily minimising it at work when the boss walks pasts! Summary of results:
