The 2012 Top 3 on Facebook was decided by adding up (1) the number of 'likes', (2) the number of 'shares' and (3) the comments. All photos are Facebook-'unsponsored'.

749 likes, 287 shares and 46 comments. This shot was taken at the Upper Cherry Creek in California, USA. We like the speed in picture and the grotesque rocks & nature. Sven was so kind to allow us to post this photo on our page and as you can see it was received really well on the Sportscene Facebook page.

2   DRAGONBOAT TUG-OF-WAR - 741 POINTS

486 likes, 209 shares and 46 comments. Probably one of the craziest things we have ever seen in the world of paddlesports. Every year Sportverein Breitling organises the 'Rostocker Indoor Cup'. 3   COMPARISON USAIN BOLT vs ED MCKEEVER - 575 POINTS

395 likes, 160 shares and 20 comments. Maybe it doesn't make sense but why not compare the fastest man on land with our fastest men on the water Ed McKeever. We made a mistake with the stroke rate but Campbell Walsh was so kind to watch the video again and count the strokes: about 92 in 36.25 seconds, which makes about 150-160 strokes per minute.

SPORTSCENE'S PICK - SIDERIS TASIADIS

One of the most difficult gates at the Olympic Games Canoe Slalom to take a good shot but I had the feeling it was possible. It took hours and finally it worked out with Sideris Tasiadis from Germany who took Silver in the C1 Class after Tony Estanguet, but in front of Michal Martikan.
