What is a beta version?

The new Sportscene website beta is an officially released version of the site which includes most of the site's functionality. The beta version is intended for external testing of the website in order to identify site-functionalities that cause problems, as well as collect requirements and suggestions from users.

Before its official release, a beta version ALWAYS undergoes a full cycle of internal testing, after which the website is sufficiently stable in the majority of computing environments.

Participating in beta testing enables you to:

• be among the first to gain access to the new Sportscene wesbsite and share your opinion with us;
• help Sportscene improve the quality of the site being tested and,
• provide your suggestions on possible ways of improving the wesbite.

When taking part in the beta testing it is necessary to:

• spend a certain amount of time on familiarizing yourself with the the website and testing it;
• prepare and send out bug reports on any errors found to rob@sportscene.tv;
• provide suggestions on ways to improve the wesbite being tested; and,
• report on compatibility issues.

If you send me some bugs or other things that are not working, please also mention the browser your are using such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and so on. Even better if you also know the version of your browser.

The Beta version of the Sportscene website is supposed to go live in November 2011, the final version in January 2012.
