Christine Gauthier marked this year’s ICF Sprint World Championships with her third World title. She has been World Champion of the K1 women’s LTA 200m since ParaCanoe’s World debut in 2009.

In 2011, Gauthier finished first with a time of 56.425 seconds, over 9 seconds faster than her nearest competitor. Despite being a powerhouse in her category, Gauthier does not take her wins for granted and recognizes that anything can happen in a race. We are all looking forward to how far competitors like Christine Gauthier can push the sport.
