iPhone and Android apps for the 2013 Worlds Canoe Marathon Denmark
Guy Dresser | Royal Canoe Club - Looks like a great few days ahead in Copenhagen as the ICF Canoe Marathon World Championships take place. The Masters’ events are already underway.
The event boats the “largest line-up of athletes in history” which sounds a bit like hyperbole to me…is 410 athletes really the largest ever? We don’t think so! But don’t let this take anything away from the Danes who have a tried and tested ability to stage top-class events. It’s the 21st World Marathon Championships (anyone remember the first one in Nottingham? Cold, windy…).
“After last year’s World Cup on Lake Bagsværd we got many positive comments concerning our attractive stadium and the practical conduct of the event,” said Chairman of the Danish Canoe Federation, Ole Tikjøb.
Good news for mobile phone users, there are apps:
- On IOC look for “WCH13″ in the app store or click here.
- If you’re on Android, look for “WCH13″ at Google Play or click here.
We’ve received an email from some local free newspaper in Bagsværd making various drastic claims about bugs in the water thanks to pollution – we’re a bit dubious but you might want to check the water before you jump in at a portage.
