Lee Leibfarth
Lee is a really versatile and active person who was born in Petersburg, NY, USA. Currently he lives in Bryson City, NC where he works as the COO for the Nantahala Outdoor Center. However, when not behind his desk, he is a river guide and kayak instructor!
Lee also has been an instructor, competitive kayaker, event organizer and former US Junior National Slalom Team coach. He served in leadership roles on several paddlesport committees over the years including: Development Chair for the USACK Whitewater Slalom Committee, Executive Director for the Nantahala Racing Club, and the Competition Chair for the American Canoe Association (Dixie division).
While I’ve enjoyed paddling rivers and slalom racing around the world, my biggest interest right now is paddling class II with my daughter
Lee has been paddling for 31 years already: river running, whitewater slalom, SUP and freestyle. He is a member of the 2013 Freestyle Worlds Organizing Committee and was a former event director and for the Whitewater US OPEN and organizer for US Camp Cup Challenge youth race.
While not paddlign related, Lee works on the side as a trading system designer and am co-founder of PowerZone Trading, LLC.
Lee about the Sportscene website:
Sportscene captures the excitement of international competive paddle sports! It is one of the few places on the web (or anywhere) to find cool stories, results and images about competive canoeing in almost all disciplines
